This video also explores my interest in history, the absence of narrative and digital technologies; it is a fictional re-enactment of the process of taking a photographic portrait with an early camera. I stood still for the camera for 13 min and 43 sec, the duration it took for the camera to stop recording and shut itself off. This is a 43 second clip, a time that code that loosely reference’s John Cage’s seminal silent performance 4’33”
