We Tell Each Other Stories In Order To Live is the first of a series of work dealing with issues of truth, performance and affect. Through the translation of text, including movie scripts and personal memoirs, actors and actresses re-enact various scenes, often in the form of first-person narratives.
Language as a means of communicating emotion and/or experience is enforced by single words and themes that are repeated among the different stories. Their sounds, following by its symbolic meanings, come to the forefront in the film’s reductive setting.
